Great ESL Learning Hints
We can never have too much help! Read these hints to gain a greater insight into learning English.

Learning Hint 1: Find great help. Look at the tutor pages to find a tutor to help you learn English. There is no price to high for a great tutor, in the long run they will save you time and, with your input, direct you where to look in order to effectively develop your English ability.

Learning Hint 2: Never stop learning! Not even native English speakers stop learning the language. Always be willing to learn more.

Learning Hint 3: The time you spend with your teacher is priceless! Before leaving each lesson, ask your teacher to clarify any concepts that you do not understand. Spending a few minutes now will save you hours later trying to figure it out by yourself.

Learning Hint 4: Help your mind absorb the information with music. Although some types of music can disrupt your precious study time, classical music has been proven to help you focus on what you are studying.

Learning Hint 5: The little things add up! Did you know that studying an extra 20 mins a day is an incredible 2 hours and 20 minutes a week? A mammoth task will seem thousands of times easier when your break it down into small pieces.

Learning Hint 6: Study one language area at a time. Changing from area to area can be distracting, thus causing you to lose focus.

Learning Hint 7: Find a study partner to learn with. You will help each other to learn faster and chances are you will probably have more fun because you’re learning with another person.

Learning Hint 8: Challenge your comfort zone. If you feel comfortable in your English ability then chances are you are not really learning anything new. However, you will be consolidating what you already know.
Help your mind discover new answers by putting yourself in situations that challenge your English ability. This will help you to handle the English you know differently as well as developing new English techniques.

Learning Hint 9: Don’t procrastinate! Do what needs to be done NOW! All procrastination accomplishes is wasted time.

Learning Hint 10: You are responsible! At the end of the day you are responsible for your English learning. Don’t blame other people or circumstances, just get on with it.
