With all the resources available on the internet for ESL teachers what makes forums so useful? Well for starters, they connect you with ESL students and teachers from all over the world. This has some major benefits. You have access to experience from all the other users. It’s also a great way to make friends and contacts before you head to a country!

Have you ever felt like you just don’t know what to do with an ESL class? Maybe you’ve thought that you could have had a better lesson. What better place to go to than an ESL forum! They’re bursting at the seams with other ESL teachers who have probably been in your position before. ESL forums are usually attached to sites that have a huge range of ESL resources, including lesson plans and teaching ideas, giving you even more help. Remember to give, as well. Help others out by offering them advice. And if you feel you have a lesson plan that others can benefit from, why not post it for everyone to benefit from!

It’s not all work and no play. ESL forums are also a great way to meet new people and talk socially about just about anything. This is a great way to make new friends and contacts in the same and other countries. Who knows, you may decide to go and teach in a new country - luckily you already have a handful of friends before you even get there!

Teachers aren’t the only people who visit ESL forums. Students, looking to improve their English, are also about. Why not post a reply to a question they have? You’ll gain their trust by helping them. Guess who they’ll go to first if they’re ever looking for an ESL tutor. That’s right, you!

If you’re not already apart of a global English community, what are you waiting for? Making teaching English easier and make new friends!

Simply ESL offers ESL community forums where students and teachers can make new friends.
