Play
target throwing. Draw (or use flashcards) on the board and get the S's
to ask ";what is it?" T responds with an animal. The S to throw a ball
at the correct animal (and say "It's a ____") is the winner. 5-7
minutes.
Phonics - f-i-s-h. Drill phonic values. 5 minutes. Play stations with phonic values. 5-7 minutes.
Fun activity - make a jellyfish. Get
S's to make their own jellyfish by gluing strips of plastic (cut from a
plastic bag) onto half of a paper plate. Get the S's to draw eyes and
write their name on the back. 10-15 minutes. Put everyone's jellyfish in the middle of the room. Then, get S's (in groups of 2 or 3) to find their jellyfish. 5 minutes.
