This game can be completed by the students individually or as a survey type excercise.
draw a 12 (or however many you wish) square grid on a piece of paper. In each square, place a description of something in each of the squares. The students must draw a picture and write the name of the thing in the square.
Here are a few ideas to help you out:
Basic descriptions of things:
- Something red - a tomato (S's must draw and write "tomato" (or whichever red thing they choose)).
- Something with two wheels.
- A animal that can fly.
- Something with nine letters.
You can also introduce some riddles into the game:
- Something that's not alive, but has four legs. (a table).
- Something that's full of holes, but is used by many because it can hold water. (a sponge).
To make the exercise more like an interactive survey, try these:
- Someone who can speak a language other than Chinese (or whatever your s's native language is) or English.
- Someone who has a brother.
- Someone who has been out of the country.
Enjoy!
