This game can be completed by the students individually or as a survey type excercise.
draw a 12 (or however many you wish) square grid on a piece of paper. In each square, place a description of something in each of the squares. The students must draw a picture and write the name of the thing in the square.
Here are a few ideas to help you out:
Basic descriptions of things:
Something red - a tomato (S's must draw and write "tomato" (or whichever red thing they choose)).
Something with two wheels.
A animal that can fly.
Something with nine letters.
You can also introduce some riddles into the game:
Something that's not alive, but has four legs. (a table).
Something that's full of holes, but is used by many because it can hold water. (a sponge).
To make the exercise more like an interactive survey, try these:
Someone who can speak a language other than Chinese (or whatever your s's native language is) or English.
