This is an activity that I use in my higher level classes.
Get the student's to work on a short story. You can set the theme, or let them have free reign.
After they have finished tell them that they now have to read their story to the rest of the class and mime it out as they read. I do a demonstration, when I introduce this activity to a class for the first time.
Variations:
- Have the students work in pairs or groups.
- Give points for the most creative story, the best miming actions etc
